The Bethesda residents were not able to attend the 2009 inauguration because they were living in Kenya. Narayan voted for the president. Asked what issue she hopes the president addresses in his second term, Tangirala said, “gay rights.” D.C. resident William Rue (left) and his friend Noio William from London, smile as the President makes his inaugural address.
